Due to its properties, it is used in various fields. In dyeing, it serves as a solvent for spirit-based paints. In carpentry workshops, model making, and furniture restoration, it is an excellent solvent for shellac and varnish. It is used for degreasing and cleaning surfaces before applying new coatings. In industry, due to its fat-dissolving properties and high volatility, it is used for cleaning parts after processing. In tanning, it is used in the leather tanning process. In shoemaking workshops, it is used on deformed shoes when applying shoe trees.
